For Liste 2026 Turnus gallery brings together two young polish artists - Piotrek Kowalski and Tomek Tofilski.
This presentation explores the city as both a physical environment and a space of imagination with all its systems and mechanisms.
These two practices are rooted in an intentional observation of the surrounding landscape as both artists quote the familiar everyday environment in reflections over contemporary existence.
On Saturdays, the city center looks much the same as on any other day of the week. There are only more drunk people; in pubs and bars, on buses and in gateways - everywhere there hangs the smell of digested alcohol.
On Saturdays the city loses its hardworking face; on Saturdays the city wears the face of a drunkard.
Our participation is made possible with the kind support of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, THANK YOU!
